Yield: 10 Servings

1 ts Paprika
1/2 ts Crushed red pepper
1/2 ts Ground cumin
1/4 c Butter or margarine; melted
10 c Warm popped popcorn
1/3 c Grated Parmesan cheese

In a small bowl, stir paprika, red pepper, and cumin into melted butter or margarine. Gently toss butter mixture with popcorn, coating evenly. Sprinkle with Parmesan cheese and toss till coated. Makes 10 cups.

2. Nagel Family Crockpot Porkchops

Yield: 5 Servings

   1/2 c Flour; all-purpose      
      1 ts Salt
      1 ts Dry mustard
    1/2 ts Garlic powder
      6    Pork chops; browned in oil
      2 tb Oil
    1/2 ts Monosodium glutamate
      1 cn Chicken and rice soup

Recipe by: Claudia Nagel Preparation Time: 0:15 1. Mix first four ingredients; set aside. 2. Coat pork chops with flour mixture 3. Fry Chops in oil until browned. Place in crockpot. 4. Sprinkle MSG and Soup over pork chops. *Cover and cook on low for 8 hours/ hight for 4 hourCrockpot bowl for coating pork chops.

3. Navy Bean Soup

Categories: Beans, Soups/stews, Crockpot

Yield: 8 Servings

1 1/2 lb Navy beans
2 1/2 qt Water      
2    Ham hocks; or 1 Smoked ham slice; cubed
1 c  Chopped onion
3    Chicken bouillon cubes

Wash beans; discard stones or imperfect beans. Cover with cold water and soak overnight; drain. Place beans in removable liner; add water, ham, onion, bouillon cubes and pepper to taste. Place liner in base. Cover and cook on auto for 10 to 12 hours; low for 13 to 15 hours; or high for 7 to 8 hours.


4. No Bake Corn Flake Pie Crust

Preparation time: 10 min Servings: 8
Cooking time: 0 min


1-1/2 tbsp nonstick cooking spray
1-1/2 tbsp light cream cheese
3 cups cornflake crumbs
2 tbsp sugar

Cooking Directions:

Grind corn flakes in food processor. Add sugar and process just until mixed. Add half of cream cheese and process. Add remaining cream cheese and process. Spray 9 in. pie plate with nonstick cooking spray. Pour in crust mixture. Gently and evenly press to bottom and sides to form crust. Chill before adding filling.

5. No Sugar Tropical Treats

2 c. unbleached flour (or whole-wheat)
1/4 c. butter or margarine, softened
1/2 c. apple juice
2 Tbsp. water
2 eggs
2 tsp. vanilla
1 Tbsp. baking powder
1/8 tsp. baking soda
2/3 c. shredded coconut
1 c. chopped pecans
3/4 c. chopped dates
1 c. dried, chopped pineapple (buy it at the health food store)
1 c. dried chopped papaya (buy it at the health food store)

In large bowl, combine butter, juice, flour, baking powder & baking soda until it resembles coarse meal. Add eggs, water & vanilla.
Using a wooden spoon, stir in coconut, dried fruit & nuts.
Using a tablespoon or hands, shape fruited dough into 2" flat cookies and place on lightly greased cookie sheet.
Bake 20- 25 min. or until cookies are golden brown.
Makes 1 1/2 doz. cookies.
Feed the kids and hubby Oreos & save these goodies for yourself.
