1. Quadruple Chocolate Cookies

Base: Cookies

Ingredients:
1 1/4 Cup(s) Unsalted butter, softened
2 Cup(s) Granulated Sugar
2 Eggs
2 Teaspoon(s) Pure vanilla extract
3 Cup(s) All purpose flour
3/4 Cup(s) Cocoa Powder
1 Teaspoon(s) Baking soda
1/2 Teaspoon(s) Salt
2 Cup(s) White chocolate chips
1 Cup(s) Semi-sweet chocolate chips
1 Cup(s) Milk chocolate chips

Directions: 
Preheat oven to 350. Cream together butter and sugar. Add eggs and vanilla and continue mixing until creamy. In separate bowl, combine flour, cocoa powder, baking soda, and salt. Mix well and then add to creamy mixture. Mix until thoroughly blended. Add all of the different chips and fold into batter. Drop by teaspoon onto ungreased cookie sheet. Bake for 10 to 12 minutes.

2. Quaker's Tantalizing Baked Chicken

Base: Poultry

Number of Servings: 4

Ingredients:
1 Cup(s) Quaker Oats, uncooked quick or old-fashioned
1/3 Cup(s) Grated Parmesan cheese
1/2 Teaspoon(s) Paprika
1/2 Teaspoon(s) Salt, optional
1/8 Teaspoon(s) Pepper
1 Broiler-fryer chicken
2-1/2 to 3-1/2 lb cut up
1/3 Cup(s) Milk
1/4 Cup(s) Margarine Or Butter, Melted

Directions: 
Heat oven to 375 F. Place dry ingredients in blender container or food processor bowl; cover. Blend or process about 1 minute, stopping occasionally to stir. Coat chicken pieces with oat mixture; dip into milk. Coat again with oat mixture. Place in 15x10-inch jellyroll pan; drizzle with margarine. Bake 55 to 60 minutes or until juices run clear when chicken is pierced with fork.

3. Quiche Dauphine

Base: Pies

Number of Servings: 6

Ingredients:
1/4 Cup(s) Flour
1 Teaspoon(s) Salt
1/4 Teaspoon(s) White pepper
1/4 Teaspoon(s) Dried rosemary, crushed
1/2 Teaspoon(s) Garlic powder
1/2 Pound(s) Chicken livers
1/4 Cup(s) Diced onion
2 Tablespoon(s) Oil
1/4 Cup(s) White wine
1/2 Cup(s) Sliced water chestnuts
4 Eggs
2 Cup(s) Whipping cream or milk
1 10" baked pastry shell
1 Cup(s) Shredded Gruyere cheese

Directions: 
Combine flour, salt, white pepper, rosemary and garlic powder. Dredge chicken livers in flour mixture. Saute onion in oil until tender, add livers and gently stir-fry. Stir in wine and cook until liquid is absorbed, stirring constantly. Remove from heat. Add water-chestnuts. Beat eggs with whipping cream. Fill pie shell with chicken liver mixture. Pour egg mixture over livers. Sprinkle top with cheese. Bake at 300F 1 hour and 15 minutes.

4. Quick and Easy Chocolate Frosting

Time:7 min

This is a delicious fudge-like chocolate frosting, and it's a great one to make when you're in a hurry. Boil it for just 1 minutes, and then be sure to beat until it begins to get firm, but don't over beat.

I like this frosting for a simple white or yellow sheet cake. It firms up nicely on the cake. It's especially good for a sheet cake but spread it quickly before it firms up. Or, beat the frosting until it is good and thick but still pourable and then drizzle it over a Bundt cake or tube cake. The recipe is easily doubled for a thicker layer of frosting.

It's not only easy, it's made with only five ingredients!


What You'll Need

1/4 cup butter (1/2 stick)

1 cup granulated sugar

1/4 cup milk -- whole, evaporated, or lower fat are all fine

1/2 cup semisweet chocolate chips

1 teaspoon vanilla extract


How to Make It

In a small saucepan, combine the butter, sugar and milk; bring to a boil. Boil for 1 minute. Remove from heat and stir in the chocolate chips and vanilla.

Beat frosting with a handheld electric mixer until the frosting stiffens just to a spreading consistency, but don't over beat or it will become too firm. Pour it over the cake and spread quickly.

If the frosting hardens and becomes difficult to spread, add a little hot water or dip your spatula or knife in hot water as you spread.

Makes enough to frost a 13x9-inch cake.

5. Quick Hummus
Base: Sauces

Ingredients:
1 Cup(s) AM Garbanzo Flour
1 1/2 Cup(s) Cold water
4 Tablespoon(s) Lemon Juice
4 Tablespoon(s) AM Sesame Tahini
    [CraftE note: If you can't find Tahini locally, try an internet search. You can even make your own!]
3/4 Teaspoon(s) Sea salt, optional
1/4 Teaspoon(s) Garlic powder, OR...
1 Garlic clove pressed
2 Tablespoon(s) AM Unrefined Olive Oil

Directions: 
In a saucepan stir garbanzo flour into the cold water until smooth. Heat mixture until bubbly, stirring constantly. Remove from heat. Add lemon juice, tahini, garlic and salt if used. Mix well; cool. If mixture appears to be too thick, add more water before serving. Pour oil over hummus, or stir into the mixture.
